When people walk into my lash suite here in Gilbert, Arizona, they usually stop for a second. It’s calm. Clean. No chaos. You’ll never find dogs running around, kids crying in the background, or someone multitasking in the room. This space was built for you to breathe — and for me to focus completely on what I do best: creating custom lashes that actually protect your natural lash health.

I get a lot of questions like, “What’s it like to get lashes done by you?” or “Why does your retention last so long?” So I figured — let’s talk about it. Think of this like a little sit-down chat between us.

"So, Dacie, what’s different about the way you do lashes?"

Honestly, babe — everything.

I’ve been in this industry for 13 years, and I’ve poured my heart, soul, and more hours of training than I can count into mastering the art of lashes. I’m not home-based. I’m not cutting corners. I’m fully licensed here in Arizona, and everything I use in my studio is Arizona-sourced and professional-only.

That means nothing comes off Amazon. You have to be licensed to even purchase the products I use. I love supporting other Arizona small businesses, and I only bring in products that are safe, high quality, and proven to give good retention.

When you’re in my chair, I’m thinking about your natural lash health. Every single lash is applied with intention — right length, right weight, right spacing. Lashes should never fall out in clumps. That’s not retention; that’s damage.

“What does the appointment feel like?”

My clients always say it feels like therapy — or a nap they didn’t know they needed.

You’ll get comfortable on the recliner with a neck bolster (because comfort actually matters), and the vibe is just easy. The room smells clean, soft music plays, and you’ll forget you’re in Gilbert traffic five minutes later.

I map your lashes based on your eye shape, lash health, and the look you want — whether it’s classic, hybrid, or full volume. I love helping people choose a look that fits their lifestyle, not just what’s trending online.

We talk, we laugh, or you nap — totally up to you. But when I’m working, I’m quiet and focused. It’s peaceful.

“Let’s talk retention. How do you get it to last 2–3 weeks?”

Okay, so here’s the real talk: retention is teamwork.

I handle the professional side — isolation, clean application, perfect humidity, and high-quality products. You handle the aftercare — gentle cleansing, no oils, no picking, no heat.

Lashes are hair, and hair sheds naturally. The Cleveland Clinic says we lose one to five lashes per eye every day (Cleveland Clinic, 2023). So when you come in every two to three weeks for a fill, we’re just keeping your set balanced and beautiful.

When clients follow my aftercare directions — and they all leave with an aftercare kit — they notice their lashes stay fuller longer. It’s all about consistency and proper hygiene.

“Do you offer aftercare products?”

Always. Every client leaves with what they need to take care of their lashes at home.

I use professional-grade products — like cleansing foams, lash-safe brushes, and serums that actually strengthen your natural lashes underneath. Everything in my studio is extension-safe and made to maintain retention.

I also carry Zenigen Lash Serum, which helps strengthen and lengthen natural lashes, and Epicutus and Rhonda Alison skincare (Many Others TOO), These are some of my favorite lines because they support healthy skin around your eyes without oils that break down adhesive.

You’ll always hear me say: your natural lash health is the foundation for everything.

“What kind of atmosphere can clients expect?”

I call it a mix between luxury and chill.

It’s clean, quiet, and comfortable — not cold or intimidating. I love making people feel safe here. Most of my clients end up taking a little nap during their appointment. Some add on red light therapy or a mini facial, and others just sit back and relax.

I want you to feel like you can completely unwind. This is your time.

“What makes your products and technique different from others in the East Valley?”

Every lash artist has their own style, but here’s what sets me apart in Gilbert and the East Valley:

  • Licensed, trained, and certified. That means safe application, correct sanitation, and top-tier product use.

  • Arizona-based products. I believe in keeping my dollars local and supporting other licensed businesses.

  • Focus on lash health. I won’t overload your lashes just to make them look thicker. I care about what’s underneath.

  • Custom design every time. No cookie-cutter lashes — your set is mapped for your features and preferences.

  • Comfortable, professional environment. You’ll never see chaos or cutting corners here.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology even reminds us that eyelash extensions can be safe and long-lasting when applied by trained, licensed professionals (Mukamal & Taylor, 2018). That’s exactly the standard I hold myself to.

“What do you wish more clients knew about lash care?”

That cleaning your lashes isn’t optional — it’s everything.

Oil, makeup, and dead skin build up around your lash line, and if you’re not washing them, it can cause irritation, breakouts, or retention problems. Cleansing daily (or every other day if you wear light makeup) keeps everything healthy and comfortable.

I also remind people not to pick or pull. I know — it’s tempting. But your natural lashes will thank you if you keep your hands off.

And honestly, when you take care of them, your fills look amazing every time.

“What’s your favorite part of the job?”

That first look in the mirror — when you blink and see yourself.

Every time, I watch women light up. It’s not just about lashes. It’s confidence. It’s rest. It’s showing up for yourself.

When my clients leave, they don’t just look different — they feel different. That’s the best part of my job.

“Any final words for someone looking for a lash artist in Gilbert or the East Valley?”

Book where you feel safe. Choose someone licensed, clean, and consistent. Ask questions. You deserve to feel comfortable and cared for, not rushed or anxious.

Here at Elev8 Artistry PLLC, I’ve built my suite on trust, experience, and care. When you book with me, you’re not just getting lashes — you’re getting the confidence that comes with knowing your eyes and natural lashes are protected.

Your secret’s safe with me, babe. And your lashes? They’re about to look literally amazing.
